Find your job below for the areas you’ll use, the access you need and what to read first. Every member has one role, which sets what they can view and change; see Roles and permissions.

Operators

You get each document filed against the right trade, checked and approved. You’ll spend most of your day in the Inbox, plus Trades, Contracts and Shipments. Access: the built-in Operator role. Approving documents needs Documents at Edit. Read first: The Inbox, Matching, Discrepancies, Trades overview.

Finance

You keep invoices, payments and margins in line with what was billed and paid. You’ll use Financials, P&L, Reports, Counterparties and the Financials tab on each trade. Access: Financials at Edit to record payments, Reports at View for the P&L and reports. There’s no built-in finance role: use Operator, or ask your admin for a custom role. Read first: Financials, Trade financials, P&L, Reports.

Workspace admins

You decide which parts of Mercora the team uses and who can see and change what: members, roles, modules, workspace settings, integrations and API keys, all under Settings. Access: the Admin role, or any role with Workspace admin on. Read first: Members, Roles and permissions, Modules, Integrations.

Developers

You connect your firm’s own systems to Mercora through its API, for hedging and automations. Whatever a call creates lands in the Inbox for a person to decide on. Access: a workspace API key, created by an admin, not a member’s role. Read first: API introduction, API keys, Automations, External systems.
