# QuickBooks Online

> Connect your QuickBooks Online companies to Mercora, check each connection, and disconnect them.

Connect one or more QuickBooks Online companies to your workspace, check that each connection still works, and disconnect them. **Today Mercora reads nothing from your books and writes nothing to them, beyond the company's name**: connecting confirms that Mercora can reach the company, ready for later steps.

> [!NOTE]
>
> QuickBooks Online is a workspace module, off by default, and only workspace admins can open its page. While it's off, its tile reads **Coming soon** and can't be opened. To turn it on, go to **Settings → Workspace → Modules**. See [Modules](https://docs.mercora.io/concepts/modules.md).

## Connect a company

**1. Open the QuickBooks Online page**

Go to **Settings → Integrations** and click **QuickBooks Online**.

**2. Click Connect QuickBooks**

Under **Connect a company**, click **Connect QuickBooks**, then pick the company in QuickBooks and approve Mercora's access.

**3. Check it's listed**

Back in Mercora, the company appears under **Companies** as **Connected**, with who connected it and when.

Repeat for each company. If the page says QuickBooks isn't set up yet, or **Connect QuickBooks** is unavailable, ask the Mercora team.

## Check or reconnect

Click **Check** on a company. If the connection works, Mercora confirms "QuickBooks answered for" the company. If QuickBooks refuses the saved sign-in, the company shows **Reconnect needed** with QuickBooks' reason: click **Reconnect** and approve access again.

## Disconnect

Click **Disconnect** on the company and confirm. Mercora gives up its access and clears the saved sign-in. If QuickBooks doesn't confirm, Mercora still disconnects on its side and tells you so; then also remove Mercora under **Apps** in QuickBooks.

> [!WARNING]
>
> Disconnect your companies before turning the module off. While it's off, the page can't be reached, so saved sign-ins stay stored but unused.
